Bob Maggio, Educational Operations Director
Bob was a Hollis + Miller client before he became a team member.
He says education has always been a part of his life. While serving in the Army, he commanded a battalion, taught mechanical engineering at West Point Military Academy and directed the School of Corresponding Studies at Fort Leavenworth. After faithfully serving his country, Bob taught a magnet theme aeronautical engineering program for Kansas City Public Schools before becoming the Facilities Director for the North Kansas City School District, where he was originally introduced to Hollis + Miller.
Following his retirement from public education, Bob joined us as Educational Operations Director, and we are so honored to have him. In this role, he works with our architects and designers, offering client perspectives and goes out into the schools we serve to help their facilities staff understand their buildings and operations. Bob says his favorite experiences at Hollis + Miller are watching older educational facilities be transformed and given new life by our team.
Bob loves family time. He enjoys traveling between Missouri, Maryland and Texas visiting his three sons and seven grandchildren, and he keeps a well-tended vegetable garden in the backyard.
