Hollis + Miller receives ENR Mountain States 2020 Best Projects Award for Interior/Tenant Improvement

We are excited to announce our Castle Rock, CO office was honored with a 2020 Best Projects award from Engineering News-Record (ENR) Mountain States for Interior/Tenant Improvement.

We partnered with award-winning general contractor MW Golden Constructors to build out our new Castle Rock office, located in the Riverwalk Building on Wilcox Street.

“Designing a space is about more than just a few colors or accent pieces. It was important that our new office reflect who we are as a firm while empowering our team, clients and community to design the future,” said Hollis + Miller Partner Chris Heinz. “We’re proud to receive this award from ENR alongside our partner, MW Golden Constructors.”

The new space also features a nod to its mountain roots. Architecturally, the new space is designed to mimic the sloping and mesa geometry of the front range. Sloped wall edges, wood slats and partial height walls are all included in the dynamic space to provide variated view lines. The perimeter of the office is kept open for easy circulation and to allow ample daylighting to flood the small office, in addition to views of the festival park and iconic Castle Rock.

Hollis + Miller opened our first regional office in Castle Rock in 2015 and moved into the new office location last year to help accommodate our growing staff. The new space brings our firm’s culture to life, using similar colors, textures, materials and furniture as our Kansas City location, and was designed with interdisciplinary collaboration in mind.
