Grandview School District Upgrades

The Grandview School District worked with Hollis + Miller to implement several building improvements across their campuses. A district-wide rebranding resulted in colorful, aesthetic graphics integrated into each renovation.

Grandview High School

Grandview High School needed updates in several core student spaces as well as tailored learning environments for programs such as industrial and fine arts. The cafeteria and courtyard areas are now desirable, comfortable spaces for students to connect, with built-in booths and soft seating. Visitors are greeted by bright, colorful graphics, leading guests through corridors and common spaces with lively wayfinding. The media center, locker rooms and weight rooms also received upgrades, instilling a sense of pride in students, athletes and the community alike.

Martin City K-8 School

Martin City K-8 School is home to students from kindergarten through 8th grade, a wide range of ages and learning needs. All students were sharing one small gym unable to serve all grades efficiently. The new gymnasium addition was strategically nestled into the side of the existing building with an excavated ramp for accessibility through lowering the gym. Colorful graphics instill school pride in all visitors, enhancing the gameday experience. The existing gym was split in half, becoming a smaller elementary student gym and the other half transforming into the band practice room. Acoustical features were adjusted through incorporating the existing gymnasium wooden flooring and the addition of storage for instruments.
