Pleasant Hill School District Bond Projects
A series of building improvements were made possible from community support and passage of a bond.

The Pleasant Hill School District passed a bond in 2022, aiming to touch each of the district’s buildings and implement a series of improvements. The design team worked closely with the district to identify high-priority projects at each building, as well as a series of alternates. Collaboration with the contractor and design team allowed projects to come in under budget, freeing up contingency dollars to complete all identified alternate projects. Each of the improvements will positively impact students, faculty and the community as a whole for years to come.

Pleasant Hill Primary School

A front office renovation provides a bright new space to welcome guests and needed administration offices for the Primary School. Staff received an upgraded teacher’s lounge, while students received new think tank and collaboration spaces to support various methods of learning. The media center addition provides additional support space with flexible furniture for student choice.

Pleasant Hill Elementary School

The elementary school received a cafeteria addition to eliminate scheduling issues in the gymnasium, which also served as the cafeteria during certain times of the day. New paint, graphics and acoustic panels in the existing gymnasium provide a fresh environment for students. Library renovations, restrooms and the nurse’s suite were also updated to support functionality.

Pleasant Hill Middle School

Renovations at the middle school impacted the media center, locker rooms and science labs. New counter space and storage options update the science rooms, while the locker rooms were transformed with new lockers, restroom renovations (including ADA upgrades and a new gender neutral/referee restroom facility) and vibrant graphics exuding Pleasant Hill pride. The media center has new collaboration and workspaces with flexible furniture for students to choose their setting for independent study or group collaboration.

Pleasant Hill High School

Pleasant Hill High School underwent auditorium renovations including new paint and wood paneling to provide a facelift to the existing space. New band and theatrical lockers were also installed in the corridors to alleviate space needs while new flooring throughout the corridors and Commons brings new life and school pride to the space.

Eklund Stadium

Chick and Rooster athletics boast a brand-new concession stand at Eklund Stadium with expanded restrooms and a fan store for all their school spirit needs. Additionally, improvements included a new track, locker room roof replacement and bus parking lot.
