Nashua Elementary School
With a focus on advancing literacy, upholding community values, and embracing inclusivity, the new Nashua Elementary School seeks to provide an exceptional educational experience for elementary students and their unique journeys.

Developed from an existing prototype as the fifth iteration in the district, Nashua Elementary was designed to celebrate and support the progression of students from kindergarten through 5th grade. The architectural character of the building revolves around “The Hero’s Journey,” where every student is seen as the protagonist of their own story, recognizing the transformative power of education. This concept drove the unique interior character and graphics by creating inspiring moments of discovery and excitement throughout the building. Twinkling constellations are woven through the interactive media center and stretch to the top of the distinctive bridge above, giving a nod to the school’s mascot, the “Stars.”

Designed to fit the unique needs of current and future students, the school features flexible classrooms, collaborative spaces, inviting common areas, a media center, makerspaces, outdoor classrooms, and unique academic neighborhoods to expand learning opportunities. The integration of dedicated special education (SPED) and Pre-K classrooms underscores the school’s commitment to inclusivity and belonging.
